1994 Mercury Cougar rough idle and squeeky steering

Hi! I have a 1994 Mercury Cougar XR7 4.6L v8; every time I start the engine it has a rough idle but it runs fine and changes gears great; another situation ive noticed is that the car squeaks as im turning and as im passing a speed bump; the steering wheel doesn't pull and don't have to fight to keep the car straight;
