Hello, thanks for the donation, when driving can you gently rest and barely push your foot against the clutch pedal, does the problem get worse? It could be the new clutch needs adjusting. Also check the air intake boot against the air filter and throttle bore, check for cracks in the air intake boot or poor mounting. Please get back to me. I want to get this problem fixed for you.

Thanks Ken,,nothing found,,pulling out the clutch and tranny,,the problem must be there since the truck ran fine before the new clutch was installed..will let u know..I know alot of folk think I wasted money on the new parts..fuel pump, fuel filter etc,,but all the parts I replaced were the original parts with 208,000 miles..so I dont feel $300 was wasted, they would have gone one by one eventually..

well Ken, they pulled the clutch,,the first mechanic just slammed it in there. so a new clutch kit was installed, however my truck still doesnt run the same..it lags and doesnt want to go up a hill unless you really give it the gas,,the check engine light wont stay on long enough to catch a code on the code reader..looks like my truck is ruined...do you have any ideas what could have been done to my truck to make it go from a zippy quiet truck to a laggy hesitant noisy truck..I now have to drive 120 miles to another repair shop...maybe they can find out.

I think when the first guys installed the clutch they could have turned the engine over backwards which can cause the timing chain/belt to jump one tooth. Can you remove the valve cover/timing cover and confirm the timing marks are correct? An easy indication of this condition is the ignition timing would be way off also. Please let me know
