Like Anton in '07, I can't figure out how to separate the 'button' (or base plate) from the mirror's mounting bracket--and the solution(s) provided don't seem to apply to Model2410. There is what appears to be a 'key'-bar beneath the wedge-shaped plate itself, which if somehow could be moved to the right, would line up with the channel (referred to as a "gap" in the afore-mentioned q&a series), enabling the base plate's removal thereby. No amount of pulling or twisting, nor insertion of any tool into said 'slot', has benefited. PLEASE help, if you can and would. Sincerest thanks, in advance!

PS: Scrolling down, I see that a donation may possibly encourage an earlier response, as is understandable. Being disabled seniors and therefore among those who "can't afford professional advice", I (&the Mrs.) nevertheless can and will offer $10, with hopes that 'you' wouldn't be offended by the paltry sum! Again, thanks VERY much!

Unfortunately, am (STILL) not (yet) set up, nor adequately 'savvy' , for that. BUT, if I had a phone number (and/or e-mail addy, I think?), my (already old/outdated gift of an) iPhone probably could get (something of) a 'likeness' to you. Be happy to try, if YOU'RE 'game'!

Sorry to have cra**ed out on you so early yesterday, and for my late reply today; getting old. ALSO, for failing to mention the embossed pat.# (4936.533) on the mounting bracket itself--which, as it MIGHT yet do for me (being presently engaged in studying the drawings and descriptions contained in the pdf file downloaded after registering on the Patent Applications website), could well have saved YOU a good bit of the search/study time I myself spent TOO much of the same doing, yesterday! I apologize, sincerely, and hope you'll allow me to enlist your aid later anyway, when my further efforts (inevitably) fail to achieve the desired goal. Please let me know if you'd like me to forward my 'discovery' (the 25-page pdf), regardless. Either way, thanks once again for your willingness to help, and the valuable time you've already expended on my (our) behalf!
