car tranny sounded like it was slipping

Hi my name is Paul. I have a 1994 mazda 626 es v6 auto. I was just recently driving on the highway about 50 mph. I went to pass a car and the tranny sounded like it was slipping. I let off the gas and the tranny caught. It works fine with od off but 3rd gear it slips?

It seemed to slip abd rev up and i let off gas and tranny caught.

When od is off it starts off great in first and second but 3rd starts to slip. It never did this before. I recently added a tranny conditioner then this started. Is there a kik down cable or a vacuum kik down shifter for passing gear? Or do i just need to change fluid and filter. I dont know whats goin on.

I would get a transmission specialist to do a test drive the slipping is a bit of a concern, best get this checked out befor driving any great distance further, this type of diagnosis should be done first hand.
