daimler xj40 possible security problem

can anyone help? i've put a new battery in my daimler and when i connected the leads a loud buzzing/mooing noise started from under drivers side wheel arch(uk)all ignition lights on dash come on but nothing from engine, no clicks or noises,i've got a diagnostic tool to check it but also can't find the socket in car for it, looked under dash on both sides any help greatly appreciated as i need to get her running again, thanks

we dont' have info for your model only xj6,xj12 and xjs. But on the xj6 there is a security alarm under the left side, which on yours may be the right. hereis diagram for dtc connectors for jag that we have. goodluck
