I would to know the intake and exhaust valve clearance?

I hear tolerable knock in my engine, i do not know if it is fuel knock or I want to check the clearance of my intake and exhaust valve. Appreciate if you could provide me information on the recommended valve clearance. Thank you.

I can reply only regarding the D4BH engine, according to the Hyundai Galloper Shop Manual of 2001.
Please make sure those are the correct numbers for you engine as well as it might be a slightly different engine.

D4BH (2.5 Turbo Diesel):
-----------------------------------------
Cold engine -
Both Intake & Exhaust: 0.15mm (0.0059in)

Hot engine -
Both Intake & Exhaust: 0.25mm (0.0098in)

-----------------------------------------

Tightening Torque for the locknut on each valve is 12 to 18 Nm
Tightening Torque for the rocker cover bolts is 5 to 7 Nm
