Why is it so difficult to start my car after running it hot?

I start my car at any given time,wether it is day or night,and it starts.You drive to where ever and park your car and turn off the ignition.Immediately if you want to start it again,it would not start.You now have wait for about 2hours to restart your car.All this happened after I replaced the cylinder head gasket. Please help!!!
