1994 GMC C1500 overdrive issue??

when im going down the road at about 60 my rpms are at 2500 is that normal it seems high to me theres also a stuttering issue every now and then that after reading some other posts on this site i think is the egr valve. please help

have a trans guy scan for codes and check trans your overdrive unit may not be working.

just tried to run the codes and my truck is not responding is what the computer says is there another way i can check

well it should run about 1800 or so at that speed unless it' has a higher gear ratio there are pressure checks that can be done but most trans guys can drive it and tell you what is wrong.
