why does it do this

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Fuel pump pressure? Has the check engine light come on?

check engine light has not been on and it does work but i dont know about the fuel pump wouldnt it actup driveing down the road?

It may not be producing enough pressure. When you accellerate, the fuel may not be there causing the engine to die.
