will my valves get bent since my timing belt broke while driving

I have a 1994 geo metro 1.0L. The timing belt broke while I was driving it. Can I just replace the belt and pulley, or did the belt breaking cause more serious problems?

Not sure what your asking is concern that damage has occured to valves?

I believe so. I'm told that my car has an interference engine... Timing belt breaking while driving will always destroy the valves. Is this correct?

It is a interfernce engine could go ethier way you can put a belt on it and see what happens or try a bore scope to see if you have any bent valves.
