Safety bell on 1994 Ford Tempo

The warning bell that goes on with the door, ignition, or lights tends to go off (or on) at it's leasure. Can I fix this or does it need to go to the shop?

you can listen for the chime under the dash and remove the module .or you can go through some extensive elec troubleshooting to try and determine exactly which sensor is failing but removing the module will stop the noise
