I've recently replaced my water pump, then two days ago my car would not start; I then replaced my starter. After the starter was fixed, it started nicely, however it did not run correctly. The idling is off, and it sounds like its about to die. It is also very******, and does not accelerate normally. Any ideas?

did you overheat the motor due to failing water pump? does your temperature read normal now? the car has a timing chain that i have not seen fail in my experience.did the car run fine after water pump change? was this problem immediately after/coincided with the starter being replaced? did you do anything to wiring at the fender solenoid (if i has 1) when changing starter?
have you checked all your fuses? how long have you owned car? normally those symptoms would indicate a malfunctioning IAC or TPS or both. leaky/sticky EGR could account for it too or MAF sensor? is the CEL on?
