I have a 1994 Ford Ranger with manual transmission and 240,000 miles on it that recently started to make a grinding or scraping noise. The noise will go away when either the clutch pedal or the gas pedal are pressed. It makes this noise when idling or in motion at speed when the gas pedal is not in use and the vehicle is just drifting.
