hi i have a 1994 ford probe gt 2.5 v6. i was backing out the driveway this and barely bumped into a car and it just died. i tried to start it back up it turns over and cranks but it wont start. i started messing around and found it wasnt getting spark to the plugs. so i bought a new distributor and got nothing. then i figured out its not getting power to the coil. so i need help figuring out why thismuc is all happing thank you and anything with help would be very much appreciated.

Bumping can cause the inertia switch to tripped and engine will not get fuel-have you check this?

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs,coil's resistances,cap and rotor,distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it and keep testing

all of that is inside the distributor its all in one i havet replaced the crank sensor

Do you have battery voltage on the ignition coil positive terminal?

there is no power at all to the plug that goes to the coil but there is power to the plug that goes into the distributor the coil and distributor is all in one with two power plugs one for coil other for distribuor

Check the pink and black wire or orange that goes to the coil with 3 wire connector it should have power, no power means the wire is open or the ignition switch is defective

The wire powers the coil positive terminal if there's no power the wire is open-meaning broken or the ignition switch is defective

i replaced the ignition switch and it still wont start what the heck could be the problem ive replaced almost everything distributor, ignition switch, coil what could be causing this

if the wire is open am i going to have to replace all of the wires or is there something i can do
