The truck has what has been called the "big Mazda" 4 speed with overdrive. Just replaced the shift fork assembly, worked fine for a couple of weeks, now it will shift into all gears fine not running, when running won't go into any gears, just makes a high pitched grinding sound. Could this be synchronizer rings? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a clutch problem. Have you checked the fluid in the clutch master cylinder? This sounds like the clutch disc is falling apart not allowing the clutch disc to spin "free" but to be sure let go over these videos and guide to help us fix the problem.

Yes I checked the fluid level and it looks to be normal. There's oil that leaks from the bellhousing, most likely from the rear main seal. But nothing else leaks that I can tell.

Either the slave cylinder or the clutch master cylinder must be bad.
