I know the 2 radiator hoses, but off the water pump is another hose that runs under the a/c compressor. where does it go and how do you change it???? I looked on line and I think I saw it called a bypass hose ,but couldn't find details..

The bypass hose goes under the compressor to the engine, its a pain to change! But its possible. Is it leaking? You basically have to pull the hose off, and put the clamp in the middle of the new hose on installation. Then move the clamp up the hose after it has mated.

Okay! Just checking! You shouldn't have to removed the compressor.

You hear more about them because of the pain they are but I wouldn't say they go out more. I remembered after the last response, you can pull the compressor off, it should be if I remember 4 bolts without draining it. Also i think there is a bracket too.

It basically goes to the block as a "by pass" around the water pump. This ensures the water pressure the equalize when the thermostat open/closes.

If you need anything else, let me know

I would check the relay and then the starter solenoid.
