Possible gas in the oil.could it be anything other than a cracked block.the oil is not over filling but has a slight gas odor.and there is white on the dipstick.

Cracked block is extremely rare. White cream on the dipstick and oil cap is very common on engines that normally see short trip driving. The condensation doesn't get hot enough to vaporize and get drawn out. One or two weekly trips of 20 - 30 miles will prevent the moisture in the oil.

Raw fuel can not enter the oil from a cracked block or cylinder head. Raw fuel can only get into the oil from a leaking injector or from a continuously misfiring cylinder. The fuel will run down the cylinder wall past the piston rings. If an injector is leaking excessively, (very rare on Chrysler engines), the fuel will puddle in the intake manifold after the engine is stopped. It won't take very long for the pressure to bleed down and the leakage to stop That fuel will vaporize or will cause a real rich condition at the next engine start but that will be over in a few seconds.

Thank you very much for your response to my question. I put seafoam in to remove the moisture and checked my inectors it turned out to be a bad performance chip that was causing to much fuel flow at start up.thank you again I was ready to replace the engine all I had to do was disconect a wire
