rear wiper running non-stop when ignition is on.

Maybe faulty wiper module. Check for voltage on Dark Blue/Red wire at module if voltage then switch bad. if none check voltage atBrown/Light Green if voltage module bad

helloooo,anybody home.It was checked by a mechanic,he said all his test shows wires leading to switch and rear wiper motor are good.
He suspect the dash switch.
First he suspected the motor until I told him the original motor as well as the remanufactured one from Mopar I installed both run non-stop.

When he bangs the liftgate several times with force, sometimes the wiper stops,he's saying the switch probably is stuck.I don't know but I've ordered switch from ebay and the dealer.Your help is apprecited. Thanks.

Module is next to motor switch signals module and then module powers motor. Banging on lift gate indicates possible module or contacts.

Where is the rear wiper getting power from if the switch is disconnected from the dash?


I've replaced the rear wiper motor with remanufactured one from Auto Zone. However, when ignition is on,motor still continue to run non-stop at first.I then suspected a faulty switch,So I disconnected the wiring harness behind the switch,the wiper stopped running but I can still here clicking noise intermitently every five seconds or so coming from the motor even though the blade or nothing is moving outside the motor except clicking intermmitently every five seconds inside the motor when ignition is on.

This is after completely disconnected the rear wiper switch from its wiring harness on the dash.Where is the rear wiper getting power from if the switch is disconnected and ignition is on?

I then re-installed the original rear wiper ( the default one) this time to see how it'll react while the switch is disconnected and ignition is turn on,unfortunately it continued to run non-stop. Anothe source of power feeding the rear wiper motor from where ecactly?

Fuse 13 in I/P box that powers module

Yes, fuse #13 =rear wiper,washer,airbag,so I now know where rear wiper is getting power from,now how do I solve the non-stop running issue? A new switch from the dealer is on its way, though I do not think the switch is the issue simply because its still running non-stop when the switch is disconnected.I've gone thru 2 wiper motors including the original one on the van with same issue= runing non-stop.Any ideas?

Docfixit,I do not see anthing next to the wiper motor. The wiper motor is bolted onto a plate

As you can see,I have excact same part if there a module next to the motor,it's not on the plate or next to it,unless you're referring to the van motor/engine?

The whole rear wiper unit is bolted onto this plate,I do not see any module anywhere around.Could you please be specific as to the module's location? Thanks.

New switch from mopar arrived,installed but did not solved anything.
If only I can find and replace this module you are referring.

Docfixit, I think I'm able to find the rear wiper mudule,thanks to Mitchelleone Electrical component locator:

Rear Intermitent wiper module-In liftgate behind trim panel at right end.

This one is far from the wiper motor,it's located at right corner of liftgate.
I saw it before but wasn't sure what it was,please confirm if this is it so I can place an order for it. Thanks.

Anyway the part came (rear wiper module new from the dealer) I installed and my problem is solved,rear wiper working the way its suppose to. Now I have 2 rear wiper switches for spare.Thanks again.

Now I'm looking for KYB shocks and struts Japanese made or equivelent for this van if its all possible. I'm still driving on the same original shocks and struts.I 'm trying to restore this van.

I've been doing exactly that, googling but so far only KYB USA are available not Japan made. According to info received from googling,KYB Japan made shocks are white while the struts are silver. I'll continue to try,if not successful, I'll look for second best alternative brand.Thanks.
