I would like some help figuring where a short could possibly be. I have a 1994 Chevy 1500. When I first purchased the vehicle, I noticed that sometimes the dash lights would not come on unless I wiggled the switch a little. After about 2 months of this, they stopped working all together. I decided it was time to buy a new switch. This switch is the kind that runs the headlights and running lights. After installing the switch, I still had no lights. After playing with the wires and checking to see if they were good, I checked the fuses and the parking light fuse was blown. After replacing that, they worked. Now every week or so, I blow a fuse. Depends on how often I use it. The switch and the wiring to the switch seem good. I see so apparent breaks or tight bends to where I would believe that a wire is broken on the inside.. Any help is appreciated. Like I said I know it has to be a short somewhere, but when the switch is on, I still have head lights. Just the running lights and and dash lights will be blown
