brake lights

My brakes lights are staying on even after I take my foot off the brake peddle.

crawl up under the steering wheel and look at the top of the brake pedal arm. theres a brake light switch up there. 9 times out of 10 that's bad. unplug it and see if the brake lights go out. if so there you go
