1994 Chevrolet Silverado ignition stuck in on possition

My ignition switch in my truck wont turn to lock passion its stuck in the on passion it turns forwards but not back
it stuck like that before but turning it foreword always fixed it but it wont turn back this time is there a easy way to fix this without pulling the hole colum apart and needing special tools or do in need to get that tool for pullen the wheel off before I try to fix it sorry about spelling and any help will help thanks

Your truck is equipped with a Park lockout to prevent the steering wheel from locking when not in Park and likely moving. Some use a cable and others us an electric solenoid. You need to remove the covers to see how this one works.
