Need guidance to remove key cylinder for ignition very urgent please help!

Steering wheel has been removed im stuck now i think i broke an important part also..

when you turn the key foward there should be a little "button" on the bottom side of the lock cylinder that when you depress will allow you to remove the cylinder.

what does the part you think you broke look like?
