idle problem

idle control motor, vacuum leaks, which engine is fitted 4.6 or 4.9?

There is no adjustment with the 4.6 so check the icm, clean throttle plate and check for vacuum leaks, also do a scan to check for any unresolved fault codes.

thank you, how do i check for unresolved fault codes in my garage at home? I am not an idiot but, you know.....kinda old school and need help for this

You will need a scanner, if the cars drivable, take it to most larger parts stores they often do free basic scans.
