When i put on my brakes, the rear brakes lock up and I slide/skid to a stop and it happened rather suddenly, no warning. My pads are good so it isn't that...what might be the problem? (94 Buick Skylark) The first time it happened, there was an unpleasant loud clunking noise under the car and then when I applied the brakes, the car didn't stop...it has been running really rough even before that but the brake problem is a sudden new development...all I know for sure is my pads are not worn at all and there was no grinding/squealing leading up to the event. thanks for your help :)
