I looked through all the wiring schematics and found nothing. Could it have been disconnected prior to the work?

I don't think it was disconnected when I started. I replaced my heater core and took the dash apart. It was running before but now it will only start for a minute and then die out. Is it possible for it to do that if one of the hoses to the core on the firewall is not on all the way or does not have enough pressure?

Let us know if you find it. I wish we could be more help, but with the schematics, it is hard to find. Being there would make it a little easier, but still difficult.

Orange, purple and black (with a white stripe) are the colors of the wires going to the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) connector in my 1994 Buick Century. It's a 12 slot connctor with only those 3 wires in it.

If we're talking about the OBD, it doesn't connect to anything under normal circumstances. It's used to connect a scan tool to read the engine trouble codes.

See the message thread on this web site labled "High Idle Speed"
That thread is discussing a different topic but it has a diagram and a picture of the OBD connector from a 1995 Buick Century. It looks the same as mine. It's mounted under the dash, under the steering column.

Ok thank you. At least now I know that's not the problem. Still trying to find the problem. It turns over and may start for a minute but will not run. Can this be caused by not having enough pressure between the radiator and heater core?
