1994 320i white exhaust and failure to stay on

The only way The car will stay on is if we put it in neutral and keep our foot all the way down on the gas. Even then it spits out a ton of white gas.
The previous owner Replaced the head gasket without replacing the bolts, We believe this may contribute or be the source of our car problems.

White smoke usually indicates a bad head gasket allowing coolant to enter the combustion chamber. Check to make sure coolant isn't being used. And yes, the bolts should have been replaced.
