I have a 1993 Toyota Corolla DX with a 1.8L and A245E automatic transmission. At highway speeds, the speedometer needle wavers back and forth and it feels like the gearbox switches back and forth from neutral to drive. The 'O/D off' sometimes appears on the dash when the problem occurs but not at every instance. I was told that the valve body may be at fault. What's your take?
