not charging but alternator is good does it have a fuse or which wire is the ground so i can check it

who??? how??? on or off car???? what is the voltage at the battery with engine running??

took it off to check it checked good at parts store bot not on van

ok, the big fat red wire needs 12 volts all the time. in the connector for the alt, one should also have 12 volts, key on.

guage shows about 8 volts with it running

ok thanks don't have 12 volts on big red wire. will try a new wire there.
