They work when weather is warm and after warmed up under the hood unless too cold out. Dry or wet weather. ABS sometimes quit first. Grand Voyager 3.3L

Okay, I need you to tell me if the ABS system is a Bendix 10 system. There were problems with them. Actually, most of the parts for the system were covered by Chrysler for the life of the vehicle. However, there were some that were not. Let me know what is actually happening. For example, can you hear the vacuum pump work or not?

Checks out as a Bendix 10 system. Last winter often both lights come on and no booster. After warm under hood lights go out, ABS and booster work again, Unless very cold out.Pedal always stays up hard. No fluid loss. But might make noise and a pedal jump but not low pedal. All summer all worked perfect. Yesterday, first cooler day, after 2 blocks both ABS and brake light came on and no booster. A short while later ok again.

It's the pump. On conventional brakes, the power assist comes from engine vacuum to the brake booster. On these, the pump provides the vacuum. Contact a dealer regarding the Bendix brake extened warranty to see if the part is covered. I had 150K on my 92 and they were still fixing it for free. If they say there is no way, tell them to check. I have to say there were some components not covered, but most were.

Let me know what you find.
