lights on and off

i have a 1993 mazda mx6, for some reason i get the in dash lights on like the battery icon and the rear light icon when i come to a complete stop or when i go slower than 20mph but dont light up after 20mph what could be the problem?

Have the charging system checked out-alternator could be failing

but i just changed the alternator last weekend and also changed the distributor, and just did the timing on it as well, could it be the battery?
