Had sudden major transmission fluid leak. Dropped trans and changed seals etc. and reinstalled trans. Seemed okay until engine warmed up after short drive - then began leaking (pouring) trans fluid again. Trans functioned fine till fluid got low (from pouring out) then began slipping some. Leak is from front of trans and becomes much greater in reverse. Was told this could be bearing in torque converter pushing seal out.
Does this sound right????? Any other ideas as to what it could be or how to diagnose problem???? Very little money to spend and need truck going to get work.
