when i hit a hard bump in the road it shift int 4 wheel drive makes a loud grinding sound

i have to shift it back into 2 wheel put it in reverse and then back into drive to drive and i also hear a clicking sound in the dashboard when i start and turn off the truck.

Make sure the wiring to the actuator on the transfer case is in good condition, tight and clean.
