Transfer Case slipping out of gear into N.

Driving down the highway the transfer case slips out of gear into N. You are unable to pop it back in unless you stop and mess with the switch between 4-wheel drive and 4-low. It will also grind trying to find the correct gear you want.

make sure you have the same tire size in the front and rear. make sure the ratios of the rears are the same. if all that is good, the syncros inside the transfer case are bad and need to be replaced.
