The vehicle has a key that needs to be inserted in place under dash but the encasing is broken.

Starting the vehicle is extremely awkward. I have to hold the key under the dashboard, press upwards with my right hand and then twist my right hand up and over to turn the ignition.

How can this kill key switch be disabled -- is there a wire or anything inside the car? -- so that I can start the ignition normally.
