1993 Chrysler Le Baron heater hose leaking

I'll have to guess that you have a 3.0L. We need to know the engine size when talking about engine-related stuff. That metal tube goes under the intake plenum and into the back of the water pump housing. It's held in place with a bolt through a tab on the driver's side. It's sealed in the water pump housing with an o-ring.

Cool, there's a leak in the general vicinity, cant see it, removing the intake plenum should provide access and I can get a visual.
Should be able to tell if it's tubing or pump housing.does tube have name/part # ? What is it's function?
If tubing bad, can you estimate cost.
It doesn't look too complcated to repair.
Im pretty sure it's cooked after 21years.

I have the same engine in my '88 Grand Caravan daily driver. It will turn 260,000 miles tomorrow. That tube takes about 10 - 15 minutes to replace once the coolant is drained. You don't have to take anything apart with the intake. Just take the one transmission bell housing bolt out that holds that bracket, then wiggle the tube out. Chances are it has a pin hole leak. I've never run into a leaking o-ring or water pump housing. You'll find a pile of those tubes in the salvage yards.

Making it simple, I'm an old school guy,if I cant see it ,it's a litte scary, ( it's not my car )
You do this for free, on the web, and provide procedure for R&R, high probability tube is the problems, low probability it's anything else.
Mechanic, in person, had car 4 hours and estimated 400 doll.
My friend freaked out, that's half his monthly income!
