Why is engine revving high, and why is car jerking when I stop.

I have a 1993 Chrysler Lebaron V6. When I come to a complete stop the car jerks. Also on occasion the engine will rev up to 3+ rpm's without changing gear. Just had a new transmission installed 4 months ago.

it almost sounds like the trans is downshifting at idle. did you have it checked as it should be still under warranty.

the motor revving high could also make the trans act funny. check for vacuum leaks as it may cause this issue
