Occasionally when I am at a stand still or slowing down my steering wheel locks up and my car won't move. I have to turn my car off and shift it into park for me to be able to drive again. I am not sure what could be the cause to this. I changed my fuel filter, full tune up with all new parts including wiring, thermostat, pcv valve. Nothing seems to be working. This increasingly dangerous as this has happened to me on the highway with my son in the car. I am spending money that I don't have either. What would cause my Check gears light to come on and my car to lock?
