1993 chrysler imperial

Power assist is missing. Do you have anti-lock brakes? If so, do you hear the pump running intermittently.

Take your vehicle to a dealer. There is a TSB recall which may cover your issue. My father experienced the same issue, and it was covered at no charge. Good luck

I have a '93 Dynasty covered under the same recall. It only applies to cars with the Bendix-10 anti-lock brake system.
