Hi I changed out the head unit in my truck today. Their was no sound before I did it. So a buddy of mine is a mechanic. So I replaced it. Still I have no sound could the speakers be the cause. How do I test for this problem. The dash speakers and rear speakers don't work. No sound at all. Thanks.

You could also use a AA battery to check speakers.

Yeah I looked online they said to ohm it out. I seen people using 9v batteries too to test them. I will have to remember the AA trick next time. Thanks.

I have a question I bought pioneer speakers they are great but now I want to add an amp. The max watt on the speakers are 200. They are 4 ohm. What size amp can I get. I don't want to blow the speakers. I was looking at a 400w amp. What is your opinion. I want to do the front and rear. I am going to get a 4 channel amp. Thanks.

IF you get a 4X100 W amp you'll be fine. 100 Watts with good speakers will be plenty loud unless you're looking for show car sound.
