1993 BMW 320i Auto, fires up, the totally "Die's" on me.Any HELP appreciated....Thank You....

Was running for a little while...making "INTERMITTENT PURRS" like a Cat.
..Could the IMMOBILIZER cause any of this Hassle....The Lock and Immobilizer, sometimes Go off and On Sometimes....???Cockpit Sensors..?
