I've had all motor mounts, belt, plugs, plug wires, timing belt, AC blend door actuator, wheel bearings, rear hub bearing, sway bar bushings, sway bard links, hose assembly, rear strut assemblies replaced in the past year. After they replaced that long belt, the car felt like it was idling too fast. I was told, "that was OK. It's just because it's a new belt. The vibration has gotten so bad that the dash and doors vibrate when I put the car in gear after starting. They keep telling me that it's just an old car and it's going to have rattles and things, but I know no car is supposed to vibrate that bad. It was my mother's car, hardly driven, has it's third set of tires (simply because the first ones dry rotted and the second ones were cheap ones that I had replaced) and since my mother passed and I have had the car, I've put about 20,000 miles on it in the past two years. Please, HELP.

something is rubbing useally it by one of the mounts engine or transmission. ck. all the bottom bolts off then pry up or jack up the engine and trans. with a pry bar or big screwdriver. then have someone rev the engine until the vibration go away.

Hi,
I appreciate your reply. I showed it to my son and he said that sounded right. But, he travels and doesn't have a shop to work on my car even if he could get here. I am a 71 year old granny. I have taken my car to two local mechanics and I don't think they would appreciate me telling them what to do since they couldn't find the problem. Do you know of any mechanics in the Belmont (28012 area code) or Charlotte, NC area that I can trust to do what you say?
