Can the number of teeth on the ring gear tell you the the ratio on the diff carrier?was told ratio could be either 41.10 or 43 something and after getting both I noticed that the first number in the ratio was the same as the number of teeth on the ring gears. Coincidence ? Long dad story short the original had 41 teeth and the pinion was complely stripped out. I installed another 41 teeth felt it was not in sync. Installed one with 43teeth seems somewhat better but the diffs seem to get quite hot quickly. I surrender!! What do you guys think?
