1992 olds achieva s runs good but sometimes starts misfiring. I just put new wire on,run good when going down the highway when you come to fast slow down or stop runs bad

is there a check engine light on? if not, then your problem is most likely the idle air control valve, could be dirty or just faulty. I would do a thorough cleaning of the throttle body and IAC. and replace if necessary, you should be ok after that. the i believe the iac is not adjusting as you remove your foot from the gas to the brake to slow down or turn a corner.
