ICM replaced 3 times and still no spark and no codes

The car died occasionally and I chalked this up age and temp, so as soon as a no spark code popped up, I replaced the ICM and it started up right away, but 2 days later it died and wouldn't start, or pop out codes to wire or diagnostic tool. I've heard so many different things could be wrong, but no one can explain the loss of all access to diagnostic. Please help.

does ecm (puter) have power?

my mechanic has been telling me the wiring harness could be damaged, but to answer your question - I am not sure if the icm has power, I am assuming it does only because the car had started briefly. How can I check?

did you check all your fuses? did you check car for spark, fuel pump operation?

I have not checked any of that, my buddy did check for spark, but I have not checked fuses. I will. This is what I've been looking for, I can do most things, but I have no idea where to begin. Thanks, I'll give those a look.

Ok, The fuel pump is working (i turned the key to accessory and there was a hum from the pump) and all the fuses checked out. When i drove the car the last time it died a few times during that day and had a delayed start in there as well, but when it was close to dying it was when the rpms were low - like at a stoplight or residential roads.

crank sensor is a common culprit that does not necessarily set a code. although it's strange you have put so many ICM's in it. mayb icm wiring is faulty?

thats what my buddy was thinking too... any tips to figure it out? Ive also heard cam sensor could be the problem.
