1992 Mazda 6 cylinder heater problem

A senior friend of mine has a 1992 Mazda MPV 6 cyl vehicle that has a heater that blows cold air. Both heater hoses are cold when the engine has heated up. He had an engine repair done on the car and our thought is that something may have been disconnected and not reconnected that caused this problem. Since it was summer he didn't realize that there was no heat until now. Guess what the repair shop also out of business.
Any help would be appreciated.

The heat in that vehicle is controlled by a blend door that regulates heated air flow. it is operated by an electric motor/actuator. The problem can be that the actuator is stripped or inoperative or the door itself could be damaged. This is what needs to be determined by examining the actuator and see if it is responding to heat change commands or not.

Same problem here; is there any fuse for this actuator (electric motor)?
On my car (same model, same year)I can hear blend door clicking when selecting from cold to hot air, but, it looks like, door is not opening all way, since no hot air is coming out, only kind of worm air. If selector is put back on cold, I have cold air.
So, to get to those blend door and actuator itself, dashboard has to be removed?
