Intermittent issue with idle. Idles rough in gear when it either gets very cold outside or very hot and humid, and once in awhile it just happens. Occasionally the check engine light will come on when driving and run rough when slowing down. After the car sits a bit then it runs fine.
I have changed plugs, intake air control valve on throttle body, cleaned the mas, installed new air filter, I checked for vac leaks. This was my grandfathers car and is in mint condition and plan to keep it a long time.
I believe it has to be an air intake issue but I really can't afford to replace every emission component at this time since I just lost my job. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
