I walked outside and heard noises coming from the car. One,I believe was the air suspension, it was louder than usual, like a vacuum cleaner. It finally stopped and that's when I heard a motor running inside the rear passenger door. It was also running in the other rear door, and intermitently from driver door. All this with car shut off, no key in ignition. I pulled each fuse one by one but the noise didn't stop. I had to disconnect the battery to stop it so the battery would not run down. I should note here that the windows have not worked since i inherited the car from my late parents last year. The motors worked but windows would not budge. I don't care if they work I just need motors to stop running. I'm thinking about pulling the wires from the master controller in driver door. Any ideas?

Check to see if the main switch in the driver's door is shorted. Also, if you feel it may be the air ride, there is a shut off in the trunk. Turn it off to see if that stops the noise.

thanks for the reply. a short makes sense, since the front windows were down and we unknowingly got a shower, getting the controls wet. I'm gonna check it out tomorrow then post back. thanks again.

Ok...I put the cable back on the battery and...no noise. Apparently the control got wet and shorted out. When it dried, no more problem! Thank you for your reply. This is honestly a very cool site.
