when car is first started it idles up and down until the car is warmed up and when the car is in drive the clutch slips into the next gear slowly.

1. Clean out the electronic idle air control valve for the up and down idle and see what happens
2.The tranny is slipping -how's the fluid condition and level if okay Could be caused by the TPS and VSS sensors if not bring it in and have it pressure tested-
