1992 Ford Escort crack on dashboard

There is a crack in the dashboard starting at the beginning of the front just above steering wheel going down to the windshield. Is there a way to repair this, without having to replace dashboard?

the dash cover is what would have to be replaced. once that material cracks it cannot be repaired from the heat and cold through the window. the expansion and contraction rate is too much'
