how to fix ignition switch thats getting hot on the wires

wires on the ignition switch are gtting very hot

most likely the switch is defective and needs to be replaced. remove the electrical connector and see if the ends have melted. if they have, then the wire end connector needs to be replaced as well. is the harness hot in any other area??
